The Sant Corporation Announces Sant Suite 8.2
New version has already received rave reviews from customers
CINCINNATI; April 1, 2008... The Sant Corporation, the market leader in proposal and sales document automation software, today announced the release of Sant Suite 8.2. The new release has generated considerable excitement throughout Sant’s customer base as it contains several highly requested enhancements to aid in the creation of winning proposals, RFP responses, presentations, and related documents.

In addition, the new ‘welcome screen’ makes it easy for us to navigate throughout the application.”
Sant Suite 8.2 adds several new features to improve the user experience. Key enhancements include:
New Welcome Screen
Users will immediately see the new Welcome Screen after login. This customizable screen provides quick access to frequently used functions such as: searching the database, creating a new project, accessing recent projects, viewing search history, viewing expired or submitted content (administrators only), and accessing web links. Users may also manage and personalize this screen by adding their logo, posting news and announcements, and arranging the elements that display on the screen.
Improved Search Results Interface
Search results are now displayed in a more intuitive interface that emulates the familiar designs of leading internet search engines. Each result found contains a short description, thumbnail image (when appropriate), and metadata (folder location, expiration date, times used, etc.). While the Search Results screen displays, users can quickly expand and collapse each result to a fully formatted content version.
New Selection Screens
New Selection Screens streamline the process of creating proposals and presentations. All selections for a document section can now be made on a single screen. End-users quickly check the items they want to include and drag-and-drop the order they should appear in the document. Research indicates the new selection screens are up to 40% faster to complete than previous versions.
Store Finished Documents with the Project
Users have the option to store the finished Word document or PowerPoint presentation with the Project. After the user builds a document, edits to the document can still be made and then automatically stored with the Project in Sant Suite. This provides companies with a central repository for all sales documents.
Improved File Gallery
Several enhancements were made to the File Gallery. Users can now store any type of file in the File Gallery, including Word, PowerPoint, PDF, graphics, etc. File Gallery content is managed like all Sant Suite content; it contains an owner, expiration date, comments, alert, and other metadata. File Gallery content is also indexed in the database, thus enabling search capabilities. Permissions can now be applied to determine who can read and edit content in each category.
Auto-Answer RFPs
The Auto Answer RFP search option now allows users to select a search folder(s). This feature is particularly useful for companies who receive industry standard RFPs rarely varying in content. You can, for example, load the standard RFP questions with answers into Sant Suite and then use the Auto Answer Search to answer the entire RFP at once.
Improved Interface (links, colors, main navigation, etc.)
Sant Suite 8.2 includes several interface improvements, including: a new Welcome Screen, Search Results screen, Selection Screen, and a horizontal navigation menu on the top of each screen. Based on customer feedback, all function icons to add or delete content, review details, etc., were replaced with text links. This ensures recognition and makes selections more intuitive.
Sant Integration Model
The new Sant Integration Model enables customers to leverage Web Services to integrate Sant Suite with other 3rd party and homegrown applications and databases. Integration can be utilized in a variety of locations to send and receive data.
Performance Improvement throughout the Application
Additional use of AJAX and other “Web 2.0” technologies provide fewer screen reloads and improved performance throughout Sant Suite.
